The Skyline Angel

Just a skyline angel with healing wings, dreaming of the open, waiting for the day...
The day that my wings will fully heal, and I can spread them out and fly away...
I wait... Breathing with hope, and living on that almost unshakeable force called faith.
... But until that day, the feathers of my memories shall be carried on the breeze of time and destiny... to this humble little blog.

I want to post this thank you to one of my friends: Reg. She's got a blog, too, and she was the one who got me on my feet and helped me realize what I did wrong. You're amazing, Reg!! *runs around, does a series of breakdancing (thanks for teaching me, Cyd!), then waves flags saying "REG ROCKS!!!!"*

So here's a little poem for you, Reg.... and thanks again.

Back on my Feet

I was so excited
I'm finally in high school!
But I forgot everything else
The euphoria swept over me
Until I forgot how to be a friend
And I hurt a good friend's feelings deeply
And I don't know if I could make things right
I wonder, could I really, truly pull this off?
I just had so many anxious doubts
But then a good friend of mine
Came and pulled me up
Back on my feet.

So now I'm ready to fix things up
And I'm so thankful I can
So thank you, Reg
For pulling me up
And reminding
That life
is like
that.
You
knew
what was
Right and true
So now I'm giving
A big thank you to you

For getting me back on my feet.
